World Trade Center is back open for business

After 13 years since the terrorist attacks on the twin towers in New York City, the first tenants of the building now called 1 World Trade Center attended work for the first time.

In a report from the New York Times the new building is 1,776 feet tall and the first tenants in the building are the magazine publisher Conde Nast which are located on the 21st floor.

It is no surprise that there has been a little fear amongst the new employees revolving around this building and what events took place there 13 years ago. Employees of Conde Nast claimed that even though it is a little frightening, nothing will get done if they all live in fear, and they are making history with what they are doing.

As employees of Conde Nast arrived for work they had to walk past the police officers posted around for security and flash their identification pass numerous times while moving through the building. They have also been informed of all instructions regarding security protocols and escape routes.

The New York Times describes the 1 World Trade Center as containing enough glass on the exterior to cover 20 professional football fields and has as much steel as 20,000 cars.
