The ISU women’s basketball team opened its 2014-15 campaign with a 99-53 victory against William Penn on Nov. 4 at Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones never trailed in the game, taking an early 5-0 lead and never looking back en route to their 31st straight exhibition game win. ISU guard and forward Brynn Williamson led all scorers with 17 points, aided by 3-of-5 shooting from deep.

X-Factor

Depth: The Cyclones suited 13 players for the game and each one got time on the court. Each player also made at least one shot from the field, while seven of them netted at least one three pointer.

By the Numbers

13: The Cyclones made 13 three pointers on the night on 31 attempts, compared to the Statesmens’ five treys on 22 tries.

53.7: Iowa State shot 53.7 percent from the field, nearly double William Penn’s rate of 27.9 percent.

13: All 13 players who saw action for Iowa State scored on the night, led by Brynn Williamson with 17 points.
