The Cyclones had domination on their minds as they squared off against Utah Valley and Boise State in their first two dual meets of the season.

ISU All-American Michael Moreno said the goal was to win all 20 matches and while the Cyclones fell short of that, they came pretty close.

ISU claimed 17 of the 20 matches on the night and cruised to a 39-4 victory against Utah Valley and a 36-8 win against Boise State.

In between those two loses Gabe Moreno scored a victory. After the match, there was some shoving that resulted in a one point deduction from Boise State’s team score.

With the Cyclones trailing 8-7, the team turned up the pressure and dominated the rest of the way, winning all of the remaining matches.

Michael Moreno recorded a pin to get the Cyclones back on track, Tanner Weatherman won by tech fall and Kyven Gadson recorded a pin.

Kyle Larson won by forfeit in the final match claiming a 36-8 win for the Cyclones.
