Conaway emerges as statistical, emotional leader
November 11, 2014
Freshman Alexis Conaway has been a more-than-surprising source of production for Iowa State this season.
She has been the team’s most consistent and efficient player.
Her block assist numbers should approach or eclipse 100 by the time play winds down, and she is the only Cyclone to post a season-long hitting percentage of over .300.
Conaway has started all 22 matches and, despite being undersized, has become one of the best blockers in the Big 12 based on sheer athletic ability and volleyball know-how.
Conaway runs like a gazelle and jumps like Lebron James. Read about everything else she does and what ISU volleyball coach Christy-Johnson Lynch had to say about her here.
