ISU men’s golf coach Andrew Tank has stuck to the Midwest thus far in recruiting for the 2015-2016 season.

Jon Hudson, a native of Western Springs, Illinois, signed his letter of intent to become the second member of Tank’s recruiting class that also features Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native Conner Koberg.

Currently, Hudson is ranked as the No. 1 junior golfer in Illinois for the high school class of 2015.

With a fourth-place finish individually, Hudson led Lyons Township High School to a seventh-place finish at the Illinois class 3A state tournament on Oct. 18.

According to the Golfweek/Sagarin boys amateur rankings, Hudson is ranked No. 328.

Hudson’s resume features an appearance at the 2014 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and two top-10 finishes at American Junior Golf Association events this summer.
