By the end of last week’s signing period, the Iowa State tennis program signed three recruits: Luisa Varon, Claudia Toledo and Liera Bender. 

Luisa Varon Diaz:

– From Valencia, Venezuela

– Ranked No. 1 in Venezuela since 10 years of age

– Will start to play in the 2015-2016 season

Claudia Toledo:

– From Davie, Florida

– Three-star rated player who competed with four- and five-star rated players

– Will start to play in the 2015-2016 season

Liera Bender:

– From Johnston, Iowa

– Two-time MVP for Johnston High School tennis team

– Will be on the 2014-2015 spring roster
