After the quick approach and start of the recent winter storm, ISU classes after 5 p.m. were canceled. Parks Library also closed at 8 p.m. in anticipation of the bad weather.

Register by Oct. 24 to take part in Winter Weatherization 2014 to help winter weatherize Ames residents’ homes.
The event takes place on Oct. 25. Volunteers will form teams of four to six members for either morning or afternoon shifts. Shifts are from 8:30 a.m. to noon or noon to 3:30 p.m.
Teams will meet at the Collegiate United Methodist Annex building before their shift.
