The ISU men’s golf team will cap off its fall season at the David Toms Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this Saturday. The Cyclones will join host school Louisiana State as the two teams in the field that advanced to the NCAA Championship last season.

Here is a team-by-team breakdown of the teams who will tee off at the University Club, listed in order of the Oct. 1 Golfweek/Sagarin rankings:

No. 4 LSU: By far, the Tigers are the favorites to win this week. Though they had early-season struggles last season that resulted in a seventh-place finish at this event, they turned it on at the end of the season. LSU advanced to the NCAA Championship semifinals before losing to eventual champion, Alabama. This year, the Tigers already have both a team win and an individual win by No. 5 Stewart JollyC at the Golfweek Conference Challenge.

Player to watch: Jolly, who has a third-place and first-place finish in two events for the Tigers. He tied for 25th place at this event in 2013.

No. 34 Winthrop: The Eagles have gotten off to a fast start to the season, notching a second and third-place finish in two events thus far. The experienced squad returns all five starters from last year’s team that finished 96th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

The Cyclones are coming off of two runner-up finishes as a team this season, as well as medalist honors earned by No. 115 Nick Voke and No. 66 Scott Fernandez. In 2013-2014, Iowa State recorded a 1-1-1 record vs. LSU and finished ahead of the Tigers with a second-place finish at this event.

No. 62 Southern Mississippi: At the Sam Hill Intercollegiate, the Golden Eagles finished in second place behind Southeastern Louisiana and also tied for third place at the Memphis Intercollegiate.
