At the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Oct. 14, freshman Celia Barquin led the ISU women’s golf team, tying for a third place individual finish. Her contribution is not the only time a freshman has stepped up for the Cyclones. Here is a look at other freshman feats from the team’s first three tournaments:

– Barquin became the second consecutive ISU freshman to finish in third place. She followed up Nattapan Siritrai who also finished third on Oct. 7 at the Windy City Collegiate Classic.

– Either Barquin or Siritrai has led or co-led the team in all three tournaments thus far.

– Barquin has finished on the upper half of the individual leaderboard in all three events and has broken 80 in all nine competitive rounds.

– After an 85 in the first round of the Dick McGuire/Branch Law Firm Invitational on Sept. 15, Siritrai has recorded eight consecutive rounds in the 70s.
