Project Runway was held on Sept. 25, 2011 in the Memorial
Union. Abby Beuse, freshman in apparel design, left; Hayley Hays,
freshman in apparel design, middle; and Mackenzie McArthur,
freshman in apparel design put the finishing touches on their model
Taylor Roberson, a freshman in apparel merchandising and design.
They were judged by Anthony Williams on their Alice in the
Wonderland-esque outfit.

senior in journalism and mass communication, in bounce jousting at

The Ames community enjoyed food and fellowship as they
celebrated Mexican National Day Friday, Sept.16, 2011. The ISU
mexican community invited the city of Ames to come and celebrate
with them. They hoped to dispel the common misconception that Cinco
de Mayo is the Mexican Independance day by making the Mexican
National Day memorable.

This wheel, residing at Dakota Junktion, LLC may be used to
create another piece, or be bought as a stand alone piece. Dakota
Junktion, LLC features a multitude of pieces, from rocking horses
to wall art. Dakota Junktion was created by Darwin Sprong and his
daughter Jaclyn Anderzhon in 2010.

ISU Dance Marathon biked through the chill for its annual
bicycle race event "Teal Wheels" Saturday, Sept. 17. ISU Dance
Marathon gathers emotional and financial support for children with
life threatening illnesses and their families.

individual team cheers before the start of their match Friday
night, Sept. 16, 2011 at the ISU Soccer Complex. All home soccer

Flags line the sidewalks around Central Campus for the
9/11 ceremony Sunday, Sept. 11. A moment of silence
and a candlelight vigil was held at the end of the
ceremony.

Participants in the Take Down Cancer flash
mob, which took place on Saturday just south of Jack Trice Stadium,
dance to "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO to help show their support
for fighting cancer. The event was held to help raise money for the
National Foundation for Cancer Research.

The soccer field was lined with flags in honor of the 10th
anniversary of 9/11. Iowa State soccer faced Loyola-Chicago on
Sunday afternoon.

Frederiksen Court held the Beat Iowa Bash Sept. 9, 2011 in
preparation for the Iowa - Iowa State football game. There were fun
games and anti-Iowa activities. Students lined up to take swings at
the Hawkeye embellished car that Alpha Sigma Phi contributed.

The Cyclones defeated the Hawkeyes Saturday, Sept. 10 at Jack
Trice Stadium 44-41 in triple overtime and claimed the 2011 Cy-Hawk
trophy.

The Malaysian flag flies at the Association of Malaysian
Students at ISU gathering Monday, Sept. 5. This multicultural group
aims to foster a closer and better relationship between Malaysian
students and other members of the community.
