CNN anchor to present lecture on money

Christine Romans, an anchor on CNN and an ISU graduate, will present “Smart is the New Rich: Money Guide for Millennials” on Wednesday night.
The lecture is free and open to the public and will take place at 6 p.m. in the Alliant Energy-Lee Liu Auditorium in Howe Hall.
Romans graduated from Iowa State in 1993, studying French and journalism and mass communication. She also served as editor-in-chief of the Iowa State Daily while at Iowa State.
She currently serves as CNN’s chief business correspondent and anchors CNN’s early morning news program “Early Start.”
Romans has also written three books: “How to Speak Money,” “Smart Is the New Rich: If You Can’t Afford It,” “Put It Down and Smart Is the New Rich: Money Guide for Millennials.”
Wednesday’s lecture is part of the Technology, Globalization & Culture Series and is sponsored by the College of Engineering, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Engineering-LAS Online Learning and the Committee on Lectures.
