After a 3-0 victory against Northern Colorado on Sept. 12, the ISU women’s soccer team fell to Denver 2-1 on Sept. 14.

The Cyclones were neck-and-neck with Denver going into halftime tied 0-0.

Iowa State was first to get on the scoreboard. Sophomore Koree Willer knocked in a header off of the corner kick from senior Hayley Womack, and the Cyclones led 1-0.

The Pioneers came firing back late in the second half, scoring two straight goals to put Denver up 2-1, which stuck until the clock struck zero.

Iowa State will play the Drake Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at the Cyclones Sports Complex.
