The ISU gymnastics team placed third in a tri-meet with Denver and Boise State on March 15 in Denver, Colo. No. 21 Denver placed first with a score of 196.725, followed by Boise State with 195.925 and Iowa State with 194.250.

Though the Cyclone team finished last overall, the score was its second-highest on the road this season, boosting its Regional Qualifying Score by 0.240 points.

Two ISU gymnasts made their season debuts — sophomore Sammie Pearsall on beam and freshman Allie Hansen on floor exercise. Pearsall scored a 9.700 on her routine, but a fall cost Hansen, earning a 9.150.

Senior Camille Santerre-Gervais continued her reign on the bars by tallying a 9.900 in the event. It was the fifth time in the last six meets that the Quebec native took home the award for that event.

Iowa State returns to action March 22 in Morgantown, W.Va., for the Big 12 Gymnastics Championship.
