Freshman guard Jadda Buckley won her second-consecutive and third-total Big 12 Freshman of the Week honor on Monday. Buckley’s award came after her 29-point performance against Oklahoma on Sunday.

Buckley helped the then-No. 14 ISU women’s basketball team win against then-No. 25 Oklahoma in overtime to improve to a perfect 13-0. Buckley’s best game came after a scoreless performance against Texas Christian last Thursday.

During regulation play, Buckley was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field and 5-of-5 from beyond the arc. In overtime, Buckley hit a 3-pointer when the game was tied 71-71 to give Iowa State the lead.

Iowa State is the first Big 12 school to have two individuals earn back-to-back Freshman of the Week awards. Freshman guard Seanna Johnson won the award the week of Nov. 25th and Dec. 2nd.
