ISU coach Christy Johnson-Lynch announced on Friday that sophomore setter Jenelle Hudson would transfer from Iowa State. Hudson started 27 of 28 games last season for Iowa State.

Last season, Hudson won the starting job over sophomore setter Taylor Goetz. She averaged over 11 assists per set – good enough for second in the Big 12 – and 2.68 digs per set.

“In our postseason meetings, Jenelle and I had a discussion about her future in our program,” Johnson-Lynch said in a news release. “Over the past few weeks, Jenelle has come to the conclusion she might better reach her athletic and academic goals at another institution.”
