The Lowdown
Seanna Johnson recorded her second double-double of the season to help the Cyclones defeat the Northern Iowa Panthers, 83-55. The Cyclones never trailed in the game.
Hallie Christofferson scored 22 points despite playing only 22 minutes after getting into foul trouble. Nikki Moody added 16 points of her own, dishing out eight assists and blocking three shots in the win.
Turning Point
With 10:49 remaining in the game, Nikki Moody hit a 3-pointer coming out of a timeout to give the Cyclones a 60-41 point lead after leading by only 16 after a 12-5 Northern Iowa run. The Cyclones never let off the gas, winning by 28 points.
X Factor
Seanna Johnson: The freshman had her fifth straight double-digit game with 14 points, also adding 13 rebounds, recording her second double-double of the season. After scoring only 12 points in her first two games combined, she has averaged 15.6 in the last 5 games.
Johnson was a nightmare to handle defensively, pulling down 6 offensive rebounds and shooting 6-for-9 from the field. She was also a perfect 2-for-2 at the free throw line. Her 33 minutes of play was second to only Brynn Williamson (35) for the Cyclones.
