During the past two years, ISU football games have been the main draw for students and fans alike in Ames.

In every home game during the past two seasons, Iowa State has averaged 54,523 fans per game — the highest two-year average in Jack Trice Stadium history. It also set the highest single-season average in 2012 with 55,274 fans per game, which included the all-time highest attendance of a maximum capacity 56,800 (27-21 loss to Kansas State on Oct. 13, 2012).

The Cyclones have gone 6-7 in back-to-back seasons, capped off by losses in the Pinstripe Bowl and Liberty Bowl.

The key returning player for the Cyclones on offense is running back James White, who has 1,248 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns in the past two seasons. White, a redshirt senior, led the team in rushing yards in both those seasons.

Other key offensive players include quarterback Sam Richardson, running backs Jeff Woody and Shontrelle Johnson and wide receiver Jarvis West.

Safety Jacques Washington is the key returner on defense. Washington accumulated 180 total tackles — 90 in both 2011 and 2012 — while pulling in four interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 26 consecutive games started in the secondary.

Also returning for the Cyclones is starting linebacker Jeremiah George, who made 87 tackles and four tackles for loss while splitting reps with fellow senior Deon Broomfield at the strong-side linebacker/nickelback slot.

Iowa State has six home games this season, beginning with in-state rivals Northern Iowa on Aug. 31 and Iowa on Sept. 14. The Big 12 home slate begins against Texas on Oct. 3, followed by matchups against Oklahoma State on Oct. 26, TCU on Nov. 9 and Kansas on Nov. 23.

Iowa State’s game against Texas on Oct. 3 is one of two Thursday games this season with the other coming immediately before on Sept. 26 when Iowa State plays Tulsa on the road to close out the nonconference schedule.

An All-Sports Package for students can be purchased for $249. This includes football and men’s basketball season tickets, as well as Cy’s Pass and other amenities.

All students who are not interested in purchasing the All-Sports Package can buy football season tickets for $125. This fare includes all six home games.

Ticket packages for non-students are still on sale by the athletic department and can be purchased at cyclones.com.
