The ISU gymnastics team (3-6, 0-2 Big 12) lost to No. 9 Nebraska (6-1, 4-1 Big Ten) 197.05 to 194.85 on Friday. Boise State was scheduled to compete but could not travel because of a snow storm.

Iowa State received a 48.7 on the uneven bars. Freshman Kristen DeCosta received a 9.075 in her second meet back after concussion symptoms.

On vault the Cyclones scored a 48.6. Freshman Alex Marasco scored a career high 9.75. Iowa State received 48.925 on floor exercise, the highest event score of the night for the Cyclones.

To finish the meet, Iowa State scored a 48.625 on the balance beam. Junior all-around gymnast Hailey Johnson performed an exhibition routine on beam in her first appearance this season after experiencing concussion symptoms.

Iowa State did not win any event titles and did not have an all-around gymnast compete.
