More details are emerging regarding Acer’s Iconia Tab A700. Acer’s 32 GB model will cost 449.99 and will be running Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich.

The tablet will sport a 10-inch HD 1080p LED backlit display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, resulting in sharper images than previous models. It’s powered by the NVIDIA Tegra(TM) 3 Quad Core Processor and features 1 GB of RAM.

A micro HDMI port on the device allows for connectivity with high definition televisions, and also includes a micro USB port for charging and connectivity with other electronics. In addition to 32 GB of internal storage, it also provides a MicroSD slot for supplementary storage.

The tablet uses Dolby Mobile with 5.1-channel surround sound capabilities, allowing for an external sound system via the HDMI port. For extensive video, gaming, and web-surfing, the 9800 mAh battery allows up to 10.5 hours of battery life.

The Iconia connects to Wi-Fi through its 802.11 b/g/n network, and also comes with bluetooth capabilities. Two cameras on the tablet include a 5MP rear facing camera and a 1MP front facing camera, for photos and HD video.

The cameras allow for video conferencing and easy upload of images to social media sites. The images can be enhanced with a variety of photo-editing tools through the market as well.

For additional apps and integrated software, Acer provides many tools for productivity and navigation. Polaris Office 3.5, a suite for editing documents, is included along with evernote for additional notetaking.

Preinstalled applications, Acer Ring and Acer Print, enable more tools for document refining. Full access of apps and games within the Android store are also available for download.

The Iconia Tab A700 is available for pre-order online.
