The Iowa State Daily will be host its ninth annual Stuff the Bus food drive Friday and Saturday.

The donations go to Mid-Iowa Community Action, Inc., said this year’s organizers Laura Bucklin and Jolie Monroe. 

CyRide buses will be parked at grocery stores around Ames, and the goal is to literally stuff the busses with non-perishable food items, personal care items and household items. 

They also accept cash, checks and gift cards. 

According to the organizers, last year they stuffed four buses and raised more than $2,000 in monetary donations and they are hoping for an even more succesful year.   

The event is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
