I’m happy to announce two new additions to the Iowa State Daily’s digital lineup. We are now offering news reader apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch and Android smartphones.

The apps deliver the latest news, sports, opinion and business headlines straight to your smartphone.

Check out the iPhone/iPod Touch version or the Android version. These apps are just the start of what we have planned. These apps are in their initial versions. We’ll be working in the coming months to add additional features, such as story sharing to them.

I’ll be updating this blog throughout the summer on new apps and other digital products the Daily is working on.
