Raven Gileau, the ISU student believed to have beeen hit by a train in April, had a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit when she died, according to police officials.
Ames Police said the investigation into Gileau’s death had turned up witnesses who said Gileau had been drinking both before and during her visit to Project 20/20, a nightclub in Campustown.
Police believe that on April 25, an intoxicated Gileau, after being left under a railroad overpass at 13th Street, walked up a slight incline to the railroad tracks where she was by a train.
