Cyclones lose to Middle Tennessee State

The ISU volleyball team dropped a three sets-to-none decision to Middle Tennessee State on Friday night (25-21, 25-22, 25-22).

The statistics in the match were nearly even, but the Blue Raiders (4-0) were able to outhit the Cyclones (3-2) .226-.125 and outblock them 8-6.

Jen Malcom had another big night, with 15 kills and five block assists while hitting .440, but her teammates struggled to help her out. Kaylee Manns ended up with 31 assists, and Ashley Mass continued her  31-match double-digit digs streak, with 13 digs.

MTSU led early in the first two sets and Iowa State led early in set three, but big runs midway through each game gave the Blue Raiders the win.

Izabela Kozon led MTSU with 12 kills.
