No.22 Iowa State places third at Big 12 Championships

The No.22 Iowa State Cyclones gymnastics team competed in the Big 12 Championships this afternoon against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 5 Denver and West Virginia. The meet was held at Oklahoma’s Lloyd Noble Center.
The Iowa State Cyclones placed third at the Big 12 Championships. No.1 Oklahoma took the Big 12 title home with a score of 197.575.

The Cyclones headed into the Big 12 Championships with its highest ranking since 2011. The Cyclones have been defeated by Oklahoma and Denver towards the end of the regular season, but have Virginia under its belt defeating them twice this season.

The Iowa State Cyclones will begin to prepare for The NCAA Regional Championships which will be held on April 4-6. The Cyclones will then set to prepare for the NCAA gymnastics championships which be a few weeks after the Regional Championships. The event will be held at Fort Worth, Texas on April 19-20.
