A pile of rubble is all that remains of the English Office Building, which was located between Carver Hall and Beardshear Hall and was demolished Wednesday. The building,
constructed in 1884, originally housed the office of the president. It is was one of the
oldest buildings on campus. The building’s demolition was approved by the Board of Regents June 19, 2003.
