Iowa State tacks on another commitment to the class of 2019
February 9, 2019
About 15 minutes after Iowa State basketball tipped off with Texas Christian, Matt Campbell and the football program picked up a commitment.
Athlete Daeshawn Davis announced his commitment on Twitter.
In high school, Davis spent time on both sides of the ball. He carried the ball out of the backfield on offense, while playing linebacker on defense.
Davis continues the Cyclones’ trend of Ohio commitments, as he hails from Cleveland.
Davis held offers from Toledo, Bowling Green and Kentucky, according to 247Sports.com.
The commit is listed at 215-pounds and 6-foot-1.
The addition comes three days after National Signing Day. The Cyclones signed 22 athletes on Feb. 6.
