Sami Williams listed among top 100 players in the country

In Sami Williams’ first two seasons with the Iowa State Cyclones, she has racked up many accolades including All-Big 12 honors. Now she is listed as one of the top 50 players in the country according to Softball America.

Williams, a junior from Laguna Niguel, California, was listed at No. 49 on Softball America’s Top 100 list.

In two seasons with Cyclones, Williams has a batting average of .376, which is second-best in program history. She hit 34 doubles, which is fourth-best in program history, and hit 20 home runs which is seventh-best in program history.

Williams and the Cyclones begin the 2019 season with the JoAnne Gray Classic in Tallahassee, Florida, on Friday.
