In response to the letter about food service, I want to say I enjoy the food provided by Iowa State’s food service. I am currently studying overseas but have eaten food service for the past four years and have worked at Linden food service for about two years.

Yes, foodservice isn’t a five-star meal, but when you are preparing meals for between 300 and 2,000 students, you have to prepare food in a different way. Also if you want the “higher quality” food that means the cost to eat there will go up.

Food service tries to make quality meals and yet not cost an arm and a leg. I am returning to ISU next spring semester, and I plan on living in the dorms and plan on eating at food service. And another thing, I happen to LIKE ham loaf.
