More information

Last week you ran an article on the cross-country championships, in which you noted that ISU placed 15th. You did not mention what other universities placed higher than ISU. Yesterday you ran a story on the wrestling team finishing fifth in Las Vegas, but again you didn’t mention any other teams.
I want to request that when your sports department prints a story about an athletic competition, you include information about the other schools involved, especially when it is a national championship.
Even though I am a Cyclone fan and pull for them to win whenever they compete, I am still interested in other teams. I grew up in Arkansas, which has an excellent tradition in cross-country, and I would like to know how they finished in the championships. I understand you have limits on how many lines you can devote to each story, but I think at least listing the top 10 finishers at a national championship event is something your readers will be interested in. I know it interests me more than six to seven lines about an ISU runner’s cramp that didn’t let him finish the race.
