April 22

* DPS received a call from the Ames P.D. of a possible drunken person at the bus stop outside of the Memorial Union. Officer found the subject in front of 2228 W. Lincoln Way. Officer arrested Steven Andrew Stogdill, 644 Squaw Creek #4, for public intoxication.

* Steve E. Jungst, 241 Bessey Hall, reported he had received a harassing message on his e-mail.

* Assault, Larch Hall.

* Tan Kok-khai, 220 Helser Hall, reported that he either lost his wallet, or had it stolen, somewhere on the ISU campus. He said the last time he saw it was at lunch time, in the dining hall. Estimated loss is $2,315.

* Peggy Wen Pey Tai, 5447 Wilson Hall, reported that while her vehicle was parked in Lot 61, someone damaged the driver’s side mirror. Estimated damage is $75.

April 23

* Off-duty Officer Bob McAleer reported an intoxicated subject in the 100 block of Sheldon Ave. Officers were dispatched. Upon arrival, they found William Allen Miller, 2919 Oakland, with off-duty officer. Miller had a strong odor of alcohol about his person. Officer administered field sobriety tests, and preliminary breath test, which he failed. He was arrested for public intoxication.

* DPS received a complaint that the residents of 6B Schilletter Village were fighting. Officers were dispatched. Upon arrival, they found Scott Allen Schara, and Matthew Paul Gruber. The two had gotten into a wrestling match over a dart game. There was a broken glass and two doors had been damaged. After running a routine check on the two subjects through NCIC, it was found that Schara had an active warrant out of Winneshiek County. Officer arrested Schara, and transported him to the Story County Jail, to await a deputy from Winneshiek County.

* A woman student living in Knapp Hall reported receiving a harassing phone call. She said the male caller, identifying himself as Chris from the psychology department, said he was doing research on relaxation. She said he asked her some personal questions and she talked with him for about 50 minutes, until she felt uncomfortable. She said the call came from an off-campus number. Another woman student living in Knapp Hall also reported getting a similar type of call.

* Burglary/breaking and entering, Maple Hall. Theft of money from Room 6126 Maple Hall.

April 24

* Driving under the influence, Lincoln Way and Marshall Ave.

* Jim D. Oleson, 18 Insectory, reported that a heavy duty wench was removed from a trailer at the Johnson Farm. He said the theft occurred sometime last week. Estimated loss is $700.

* Rotimi Adeniyi-Williams, 3500 Grand Ave., reported that while he was working out at the Rec center, someone took his back pack. He said he had left it setting next to a column in the workout area. Estimated loss is $1,035.

* Jayson Wittup, 206B Westgate Hall, reported that while his bicycle was locked to the bike rack at Westgate Hall, someone cut the cables from the handle bars, took the rear wheel and the seat. Estimated loss and damage is $220.

* Robi Polikar, 312 Crane, reported that his wallet was either stolen from his locker, in the Physical Education Building men’s locker room, or he lost it somewhere. Estimated loss is $10.

*All other larceny, Lot S-5. Theft and altered parking permit.

April 25

* Martina Erdbruegge, 121 Howard #204, reported that she had locked her bicycle to the bike rack on the west side of Snedecor Hall. When she returned, the bike was gone. Estimated loss is $299.

*ÿSean Michael Conway, 1806 N. W. Pine Road, Ankeny, reported that he had locked his bicycle to the bike rack, on the east side of the Armory. When he returned, the bike was gone. Estimated loss is $442.

* Destruction/damage/vandalism of property, Stange Rd. The railroad

bridge was vandalized.

* Jeff Douglas Trei, 9407 Wilson Hall, reported that he had locked his bicycle to the bike rack on the south side of Carver Hall. When he returned, the bike was gone. Estimated loss is $445.

April 26

* Abebe Hassen, 879 Pammel Court, reported that someone had taken his daughter’s wading pool. He said it was in front of his unit at the time of the theft. He said there were other toys lying in the yard out front, which were not taken. Estimated loss is $10.

*ÿOfficer placed Zettalee Marie Schroeder, 102 N. Charles, Calmer, under arrest for public intoxication after officers witnessed her friend holding her up. When officer confronted Schroeder, he could smell a strong odor of alcohol about her person. Officer administered field sobriety tests to Schroeder, which she failed. She was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

* Magdalena Raquel Martinez, 1243 Knapp Hall, reported that her ex-boyfriend keeps calling and threatening her.

April 27

* Officer arrested Elliott John McDonnell, 3404 Coy St. #3, for public intoxication, after officer witnessed him urinating on a tree. When officer confronted McDonnell, he could smell a strong odor of alcohol about his person. Officer administered field sobriety tests, which he failed.

* RCA Security reported finding a bicycle in the stairwell on eighth floor. The bike was brought to the impound shed until the owner claims it. There is no serial number on the bike.

* Christopher DeHann, 7208 Knapp Hall, reported that while his vehicle was parked in Lot 61, someone broke the sunroof frame and entered his vehicle. His radar detector, AM-FM-CD player and his CB were taken from the vehicle. Estimated loss and damage is $700.

* Amanda Lou Richardson, 2258 Willow Hall, reported that while her vehicle was parked in Lot 56, someone broke her sunroof, and entered her vehicle. She said that a pair of sunglasses and her parking permit were taken from the vehicle. Estimated loss and damage is unknown at this time.

* DPS Student Reserve Officer observed a group of subjects make a prank phone call from the emergency phone at Black Engineering. The subjects involved are all juveniles. They were refered to Juvenile Court Services.

April 28

* DPS Student Reserve Officer reported a possible intoxicated male on Osborn Drive near Agronomy. Officers were dispatched. Officers arrested Steven Douglas Langan, 633 9th St., Ames, for public intoxication.

* Hans Koehnk, 176 Fountain View, reported that he had placed his wedding ring under his coat by the court he was playing on at the Recreation Center. When he returned, the ring was gone. Estimated loss is $200.

* Ames P.D. reported a vehicle on fire, on S. 16th east of Elwood Drive. When officer arrived, the vehicle was engulfed in flames, and the fire department and Ames P. D. were already there. The fire department put the fire out, but the vehicle was destroyed. The vehicle is registered to Linda Bochmann, 6100 Lincoln Way #30.

* Jeff E. Waymire, 319 S. 2nd St. #1, reported that he had locked his bicycle to the bike rack on the east side of Carver Hall. When he returned, the bike was gone. Estimated loss is $120.
