Pipes of music at Music Hall
November 10, 1995
The music of pipes can be heard at a free recital presented by Lynn Zeigler, an associate professor of music, Friday at the Recital Hall of the music building.
Zeigler, who is an organist, will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The concert will also include seven chorale preludes.
Before the performance, Zeigler will have a commentary accompanied by demonstrations of some unique organ techniques that are required for the numbers that will be performed.
The performances by Bach are Prelude and Fugue in C Major, Concerto in G Major and Toccata and Fugue in F Major.
The chorale preludes are: Wir Glauben, all ‘einen Gott; Erbarm dich mein, O Herre Gott; Nun Freut euch; Komm, Heliger Geist; Herr Jesu Christ, dich zu uns Wend; O Mensch Bewein; and Wachet Auf.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
