I have been picking against the Cyclones for a few weeks in a row now and have finally been having some success. So why stray away from that? I’ll tell you why.

Oklahoma has been struggling this season up until a turnaround win against Kansas 52-42.

Will this be a win that steers the Sooners on track, or was it a fluke? Honestly, the way Oklahoma played in the pair of blowout Big 12 losses previously makes me think not.

The Sooners have put up massive points in some outings but have fallen short in others. Give me Iowa State comfortably.

Truthfully, I’m really hoping the Cyclones can find the first Big 12 win of the season this weekend.

As many have seen, the Big 12 conference seems to be highly competitive this year, and Iowa State has been “inches” away from a win, as Matt Campbell would say.

Coming off of a bye week and being back in Ames, I think the Cyclones will come out of Jack Trice Stadium with a win on their hands.

However, I don’t think it will come easily. In three of the seven games they’ve played, Oklahoma has scored over 40 points.

So, I think that although Iowa State will win, it won’t come without a fight, and it will be a tight-knit game from start to finish.
I’m on a losing streak just like Iowa State and could really use a win, so if the Cyclones could pull through, I’d really appreciate it.

Saturday will be a must-win game for the Cyclones, which is the main reason I’m picking them.

Oklahoma tends to dominate Iowa State, no matter where the action takes place. However, the Sooners have been a little off this year and look to be the most beatable they’ve been in years.

I think Iowa State’s defense is going to be a big contributor to the win Saturday. The Cyclones have been close to winning every week, thanks to the defense keeping them in the game. With how reliant Oklahoma is on its offense, Iowa State has a good chance of running away with it.

I also think the bye week should’ve allowed the Cyclones to cool off and figure out what’s working and not working on the offense and how they can succeed against tough Big 12 competition. I’m not going to underestimate Oklahoma, which is why I’m predicting a close game.

But in the end, I have faith in the Cyclones getting their first Big 12 win of the season.

Iowa State is the only college football team I care about, and I only started caring about college football last year when I became a student here. With that being said, my unbiased opinion of this game is that Iowa State will win.

Iowa State has already been hurt by calls that don’t make sense, so as long as that doesn’t happen again, they can pull through and take the W.

Since this is a home game, the rowdy crowd will get the team hyped enough to score at least 35 points and get their fans that 25% discount at the bookstore.
