BREAKING: Classes moved virtual due to ice storm
February 23, 2023
Classes will be held virtually Thursday due to an ice storm that began Wednesday and carried into this morning.
Iowa State University’s Department of Public Safety released an email informing the campus that students should look for additional class information from instructors. It also stated employees should work from home if possible.
Ames is in a winter weather advisory until noon, according to the National Weather Service, after an ice storm warning on Wednesday. University employees were recommended to contact their supervisors to arrange make up time or take leave.
There was so much ice in the storm yesterday and overnight we've actually had to use plows to pile it up. Road conditions vary greatly across town and Public Works crews are continuing to make progress on cleaning up. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/Q3jMpONkpB
