Though it may not have felt like it last week, fall is just around the corner. Starbucks brought back their pumpkin spice latte Thursday, much to the joy of pumpkin spice fans worldwide. However, those seeking fall-themed beverages with a local touch will soon be able to find them at local coffee shops and cafes in the Ames area.
Cafe Diem
Starting Sept. 1, Cafe Diem will carry four new fall-themed syrup flavors: pumpkin spice, maple spice, caramel apple butter and macadamia nut. They will also have three new drinks for customers looking to enter the fall spirit: pumpkin spice foam cold brew, maple spice latte and pumpkin spice chai.
Burgie’s Coffee
The north and south Ames locations will begin carrying pumpkin lattes and mochas around late September or early October. Burgie’s will also sell apple cider during the fall season.
Cafe Milo
Cafe Milo will start carrying pumpkin spice drinks at both locations soon, but their other specialty drinks and flavors have not yet been decided. The remaining drink information will be posted online when available.
Be sure to check out the social media accounts of these businesses as well as other locations on campus and in Ames for upcoming menu additions!
