The Cyclone gymnastics team will return to action Sunday to take on their first tri-team meet of the season when they head to Colorado and face off with No. 9 Denver and Southeast Missouri State at the Denver Tri-Meet.

Iowa State enters the meet ranked No. 22, following a loss at Boise State its last time out. This brought the overall record to 2-3 and the Cyclones are yet to win on the road this year.

Prior to the loss to Boise State, Iowa State won two straight meets at home. Thus far, the team averages 196.215 points per meet.

The star of the Cyclones so far has been freshman Noelle Adams, a competitor in vault, beam and the floor exercise. Her best event is the floor exercise, where she averages 9.885 points per meet.

Opposing the Cyclone women, Denver enters as the team’s second Big 12 opponent this year. As a team, the program averages 197.215 points per meet. The high in points thus far is a 198-point meet against Towson, its most recent meet coming into the Denver Tri-Meet.

Southeast Missouri State enters the meet unranked with a record of 5-6-1. The team is coming in only one full day removed from their last meet after entering the Air Force Tri-Meet against Air Force and Sacramento State. The Redbirds finished with 194.575 points, second to Air Force with 194.600 points.

The Denver Tri-Meet will be available to stream live via the Denver Pioneers website and will start at 2:45 p.m. Sunday.
