The College of Business has announced its “Business Week” celebration, including a barbecue and t-shirt giveaway for students.
The events from Monday to Thursday are intended for students who are interested in the College of Business and students who are interested in pursuing a major in business, according to a press release from the College of Business.
“We have added some amazing activities in the last couple of years, and we are bringing back our popular service project with Meals from the Heartland,” Katie Minnihan, an academic advisor at the College of Business, stated in the press release.
Monday
Starting at 11:30 a.m., the college will host a kickoff BBQ hosted by Collins Aerospace in the northeast Campanile lawn.
“Thriving at Work: Employee Engagement and Company Culture” will also be hosted from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Kingland Hub.
Tuesday
A t-shirt giveaway will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Granite Hallway in Gerdin, sponsored by F&G Annuities and Life.
A career fair prep day will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in 1320, sponsored by Holmes Murphy.
Back by popular demand, Meals from the Heartland will occur from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Kingland Hub.
Wednesday
A coffee break sponsored by HNI Corporation will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Granite Hallway.
Thursday
Prize drawings will occur from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Granite Hallway, sponsored by John Deere, Iowa Bankers Association and Zirous.
“Additional financial support was provided by Greenix Pest Control, Hormel Foods, Pella Corporation and Schwan’s Company,” according to the press release.
