Charlie Kolar
Kolar had himself a career day as he played an integral part in the Baltimore Ravens’ 41-38 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
During the game, Kolar managed to be the second-leading receiver on the team with three catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. His longest reception came on a 55-yard catch and run thrown by Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson that set the Ravens up for a score.
Prior to Sunday’s game, Kolar had 11 catches for 136 yards and one touchdown reception in the two seasons he has been in the NFL. After the performance he gave Sunday, Kolar now sits with five catches for 98 yards and a touchdown on the season, with five games played.
It was difficult for Kolar to find ways to get the ball in a crowded Baltimore receiver room, but with this performance, he helped add another weapon there.
Brock Purdy
Purdy had his worst statistical game of the 2024 season, as he threw a season-high two interceptions in the San Francisco 49ers’ 24-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
This marks back-to-back weeks that Purdy has thrown an interception. The 49ers led at halftime 23-10, but the turnovers made it hard to hold the lead, ultimately resulting in a loss.
Purdy’s overall day consisted of completing 19 passes on 35 attempts for 244 yards, with a touchdown and two interceptions. The Cardinals found ways to get their hands on Purdy’s passes, with both of Purdy’s interceptions caught off of deflections.
Despite the loss, Purdy set a new franchise record by becoming the fastest quarterback in 49ers history to throw 50 touchdowns.
Will McDonald IV
In the New York Jets’ 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London on Sunday, McDonald came out as one of the few bright spots as he obtained his sixth sack of the season.
Along with the sack, McDonald also recorded another solo tackle and QB hit.
After a week of failing to record a sack, McDonald got back to his pass-rushing ways, as he was able to get Minnesota quarterback Sam Darnold down for a 12-yard loss.
This sack kept McDonald in second place in the NFL in sacks, only trailing the league leader in Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson by half of a sack.
Allen Lazard
After missing a touchdown throw in the Jets’ 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos last week, Lazard found the endzone in London on a 14-yard touchdown to highlight his four-catch, 34-yard day.
This touchdown reception by Lazard gave him his fourth touchdown of the season, which ties him for second place in the NFL for the most in the league.
Despite falling to the Vikings on Sunday, Lazard saw his highest number of targets this season with 10, as New York quarterback Aaron Rodgers tried to give Lazard the ball as much as he possibly could.
Although being overshadowed by fellow wide receiver Garrett Wilson’s performance, Lazard continues to be one of Rodgers’ favorite targets this season and will continue to seek more scores for this Jets offense.
Breece Hall
Hall once again struggled to find success on the ground and through the air in the Jets’ loss Sunday. He was limited to 23 yards on nine carries and caught three passes for 14 yards.
This now results in back-to-back weeks where Hall was held under 25 yards rushing and under 15 yards receiving, as New York struggles to find its footing this season.
In both games where Hall was held under these totals for both rushing and receiving, the Jets have lost. New York now flies back from London for a game Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, looking to get Hall back into his groove for this offense.
Xavier Hutchinson
Hutchinson had his best game of the 2024 season in the Houston Texans 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, with two catches for 31 yards. His longest catch of the day came on a 19-yard reception.
Hutchinson saw more playing time on the offensive side of the ball after an injury to star wide receiver Nico Collins. He had his highest total of offensive snaps this season with 48.
Along with his success on the offensive side of the ball, Hutchinson also recorded a solo tackle during his six snaps on the special teams unit.
