I lead two separate awards, one funded by the U.S. Department of Justice and one funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, rather than the stated “one project funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and Justice.”  

Some of the quotes in your article are taken from a longer article published four days ago in The Gazette, and it would have been fair to acknowledge the work of their journalist Vanessa Miller. She took care to reach out to the parties who agreed to a settlement. The settlement is a no-fault settlement that is aimed to help both parties focus on their respective duties at Iowa State.
