The biggest question after Iowa State won the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 30 was whether junior cornerback Brian Peavy would be heading to the NFL Draft or staying for his senior year.

Peavy sent out a tweet today indicating that he plans to return back to Iowa State for his final season.

Peavy was the No. 1 cornerback for coach Matt Campbell and the Iowa State football team this past season.

Peavy played in all 13 games this season and had 88 tackles with six tackles for losses. He also had two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

“First off, I would like to say I wouldn’t be in the this position without God,” Peavy said in his statement on Twitter. “I would personally like to thank my family, coaches, and supporters. If God doesn’t do anything else he’s done enough.”
