Iowa State gymnastics skyrockets to No. 12 in latest poll

The Iowa State gymnastics team is coming off its best start to a season since 2007 and the country is taking notice.

After Iowa State’s quad meet victory at Arizona State over the weekend, the Cyclones have skyrocketed to No. 12 in the first Road To Nationals poll of the regular season.

The Cyclones score of 195.175 was enough to take down Arizona State, then-No. 14 Auburn and then-No. 20 Iowa.

Iowa State will host No. 10 Arizona on Friday in the home opener in Hilton Coliseum. The Wildcats opened their season against Denver with a score of 195.425.
