After being one of the most successful basketball players in Iowa State history, Monte Morris might finally make his NBA debut.

Morris, who was drafted with the No. 51 overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets, has played 16 games in the G-League this year.

For the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Morris started all 16 games in which he played. The 6-foot-2 point guard is averaging 17.4 points, 4.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game.

One of his biggest question marks entering the NBA was his shooting. Morris has hit 39.4 percent of his 3-point attempts so far in his G-League stint.

In his final game before being called up by the Nuggets, Morris had one of his best games. He finished with 29 points, four assists and four steals.

Morris left Iowa State as the school leader in career assists, steals, and wins. He set the NCAA record for assist-to-turnover ratio.

Morris may make his NBA debut when the Nuggets play at the Indiana Pacers at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
