An individual reported being sexually assaulted in a campus residence hall, the Iowa State Department of Public Safety said in a university wide email today. 

The individual was reportedly sexually assaulted by an acquaintance Oct. 1 at Helser Hall, which is located on campus. ISU Police are currently conducting an investigation. 

The email sent also included ISU Police Department’s list of resources and policies regarding sexual assault, such as Assault Care Center Extending Shelter and Support (ACCESS), the Dean of Students office website and the university’s Title IX coordinator, located in 3410 Beardshear Hall. 

Iowa State is required to send a timely warning with information about crimes committed on or near campus in accordance with the Clery Act.
