The 2018 Iowa State football recruiting class is already off and running.

Just a few weeks after National Signing Day for the 2017 class, the Cyclones received their first commitment for the 2018 class from Will McDonald, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound defensive end, according to 247sports.

Per 247Sports, McDonald, who will enter his senior season in high school, was in Ames last weekend for Junior Day, an event hosted by Iowa State for prospective recruits in the current junior class.

McDonald hails from Waukesha North High School in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
