Workshop to address ways to increase visibility of research

Iowa State faculty interested in learning about resources to document their scholarly impact and ways to increase visibility to their scholarly outcomes can attend workshop on campus Monday.
The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union and will be free to attend.
Lorrie Pellack, associate professor at the library, and Hope Craft, library associate II, will be present at the workshop.
The workshop will include “an introduction to impact metrics and sources (including journal impact factors and altmetrics); locating information on who is citing your work and creating reports in Web of Science and Scopus; and a discussion of methods for increasing scholarly visibility,” according to the Iowa State events website.
