Insanity LIVE Preview
January 9, 2017
Iowa State Recreation Services will host a fitness launch party with prizes Thursday for a new HIIT class beginning this spring. The launch will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday in State Gym, followed by the group workout at 6:30 p.m.
“Insanity [LIVE] is a cardio-conditioning and total body strength-training class designed to help participants of all fitness levels get into the best shape of their lives,” said Ashley Artist, group fitness coordinator for Rec Services.
This 50-minute full-body workout will be taught by trained Rec Service instructors and will be done with contemporary music.
“This will be a great opportunity for those looking to get fit for the new year,” Artist said. “Rec Services has never done a fitness launch party quite like this, so we want to make it exciting for everyone to try.”

Prizes will be given away at the event, including a pair of Beats Wireless headphones.
Fitness and wellness groups from around Iowa State University’s campus will be highlighting ways students can live healthy lifestyles on campus.
If Thursday is not a good day to get in a workout, Rec Services is offering Insanity as a weekly fitness class at State Gym at 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class will also be offered at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Beyer.
