Everett receives Second-Team All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

Daniel Everett, a transfer from Colombia University in New York, competed in the 5,000-meter run today at the NCAA Championships hosted in Birmingham, Alabama.
Everett finished his indoor season with a tenth place finish overall and ran a time of 14:00.67 in the 5,000-meter run. Everett came into the meet with a No. 8 seed. Everett’s time also earned him a Second-Team All-America Honor.
Some of the athletes Everett faced today were no strangers to him. Everett ran against eight others in the event at the Iowa State Classic.
Seven of the 16 qualifying times in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Championships were made at the Iowa State Classic, including Everett.
Six of the top nine seeds in the 5,000-meter run were made at the Iowa State Classic.
Senior, Jan Jeuschede, will compete in the men’s shot put at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow in Birmingham, AL.
