• Steve Prohm is the 20th head coach at Iowa State in mens basketball history
• Prohm has 17 years of experience coaching college basketball at 4 schools. (Centenary, Southeastern Louisiana, Tulane, Murray State)
• In 2014/15 Prohm coached one of the best seasons in MSU history 
• In 2012 he was named basketball coach of the year by the Basketball Times.
• Prohm agreed to a contract with a base salary of $1.5 million.
• Prom graduated from the University of Alabama in 1997. There Prom worked for five years at the Crimson Tides student assistant coach and student manager under the supervision of David Hobbs
