Bill Clinton and Katy Perry to rally for Hillary Clinton in Des Moines

The 37th Harkin Steak Fry in Indianola, Iowa, on Sept. 14 drew in a variety of potential Iowa political candidates and special guests including former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. This is the senator’s final steak fry as he ends his congressional career, vacating his Senate seat in January 2015.

Former President Bill Clinton and Katy Perry will join Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton this weekend in Des Moines before the annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner, the campaign announced Monday.

This is President Clinton’s first trip to Iowa this campaign cycle, and he will deliver remarks at the event.

Later in the evening, four Democratic candidates for president — Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O’Malley and Lincoln Chafee — will appear at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines at 7 p.m.
