Alex G released seventh full-length album Beach Music on Oct. 9
Alex Giannascoli, also known as Alex G, released his seventh full-length album on Friday. The musician is an indie rocker who focuses on the weird and lo-fi. Beach Music is his first album with Domino USA, the recording company, and has thus slightly stepped away from his traditional bedroom rock.
Toby Keith released 18th studio album 35 MPH Town on Oct. 9
Toby Keith, the famous country singer, released a 10 track album on Friday. The album is his 18th studio album and follows his recent induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Protomartyr released album The Agent Intellect on Oct. 9
Protomartyr is a four-piece post-punk and punk-rock band out of Detroit that released their third album on Friday. The band highlights front man Joe Casey’s lyricism and vocals alongside the dramatic rock and roll instrumentals.
Kurt Cobain’s previously unreleased recording became available on Oct. 5 in anticipation of album of home recordings coming out Nov. 13
Kurt Cobain, the deceased leader of Nirvana, has a solo album coming out on Nov. 13. Brett Morgen discovered some of Cobain’s home recordings while researching a documentary about the artist. An early version of the song “Sappy” was made available on Oct. 5 for streaming and a cover of The Beatles’ “And I love Her” was made available on Oct. 8.
