Coming into Iowa State, you and your friends, who will be attending ISU as well, probably have discussed of starting an intramural team together.

But how do you sign up your potential team to the certain sport you and your teammates want to participate in? It is simple really.

All you have to do is go to: www.recservices.iastate.edu.

When you get to the rec services home page, on the left hand side underneath Home- News & Events there will be a box that says Intramural Sports. Click on the box and it will lead right to the Intramural Sports home page.

To create your team either select the Intramural Calendar, Registration, and Schedules box or Looking for a player/ Looking to join a team box.

Then, after clicking on one of those boxes, it will take you to the full schedule for intramural sports. Find the sport you and your friends want to participate in and select it.

After doing so, it will take you to a page that gives you an overview of the intramural sport you are willing to join. Press Login on the page and once you have logged in it will ask you to register as a free agent. Once you have a pressed register as a free agent you are on your way to creating your very own intramural team.

Now if those instructions are too difficult to follow, there are other services to help register for an intramural team.

“When dealing with a resident hall, there will be a intramural hall director that will be able to assist in coming freshman if they need help in signing up for intramural sports,” said Russ Jones of rec services at Iowa State.

If you follow these steps, you will be on your way to becoming an intramural champion and on your way to claim that holy grail of a shirt.
